  Circuit History
In 1985 the track first opened, but the first major international event was the 1986 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix. Today Formula 1 does not race here anymore, but the track is a favourite for winter testing. 1987 saw the first Grand Prix for Motorbikes at Jerez. Since then more and more people show up every year for what is the most popular MotoGP race of the season.
